RETURNING STARTERS

Offense – 6. Defense – 5

TOP RETURNERS

MAKELL ESTEEN – Sr. 6-2 180 – CB, WR

TULI TUIPULOTU – Sr. 6-2 215 – DE

JALON DANIELS – Sr. 6-0, 205 – QB

ELIJAH JACKSON – Sr. 6-1, 175 – CB/WR

ISIAH PUALANI – Sr. 6-0, 205 – OL/DL

THREE TO SEE

Makell Esteen – CB

19 career interceptions. He can break into the all-time Southern Section top 10 with another strong season. Esteen also caught 6 TDs last year.

Tuli Tuipulotu – DE

14 D-1 offers. All-CIF selection last season. Had 9 sacks and 95 total tackles last season.

Jalon Daniels – QB

All-CIF selection last year. Threw for 2,351 yards and 26 touchdowns.

OUTLOOK

Lawndale is another team that is in the Division 3 championship hunt. Replacing the production of Utah-bound running back Jordan Wilmore will be impossible for one player to take on. Look for more of a running back by committee approach this season.

If quarterback Jalon Daniels takes a big step forward in 2019, then the Cardinals have a chance at another title. He’s the x-factor.
